TweetDeck

I'm still continuing my quest for the best way to use Twitter, so I tried TweetDeck since I saw that alot of the twitterers use it. I thought it had some nice features, but overall, I thought it was just as easy to use regular Twitter. And maybe it's my imagination, but it seemed that it slowed my other computer applications (requires alot of memory to use?) So I've uninstalled it.

What I'd really like is an app that would let me select 5 - 10 people that I follow and show their updates on the screen in columns. Right now I have to click through them one by one (or open each one in a new tab) if I want to see ONLY their updates. If anyone knows of an app like this, just leave me a comment.

  1. You might want to try PeopleBrowsr

    http://www.peoplebrowsr.com

I use it to keep track of lots of people I follow. Specifically, you can tag a person and then you look at all of the updates for a given tag. The tag can be public or private.

So, as an example, I've tagged people I've met through EntreCard with a public EntreCard tag. So, I can now track the tweets of anyone identified by me, or others as using EntreCard

  2. I just recently went ahead and got TweetDeck. I heard some bad things about the Linux version, but I sucked it up and went ahead with it.

I think it is pretty spiffy, but for some reason setting the colors messes up for me. Other than that, it's nice to be able to follow in groups along with seeing what's popular all within one program.

  4. I just downloaded Tweet Deck today. I figured I would give it a try. I'll give it a few days before I decide if I like it or not, lol.
