While browsing the W's in my library, I found this series of detective mysteries by Robert Wilson.They're set in Seville, Spain and feature detective Javier Falcon. I really enjoyed this character. His first case involves unearthing some family secrets, so it's very psychologically layered and suspenseful.
The second book picks up almost right where the first ended, so it assumes that you're already familiar with some of the peripheral characters. Then I was pleasantly surprised that there are two more books in the series.
