We just returned from a much needed family get away. It was wonderful to be at the beach, but it's always good to come home. We went to Virginia Beach and it was my first time there. I absolutely loved the boardwalk (3 miles of concrete walking roads right along the beach) and we walked SO much. We found delicious seafood restaurants, indulged in yummy frozen custard, played in the waves, and basked in the sun. I love the sound of the waves crashing on the shore/beach. It's so relaxing for me. We had fantastic weather, too, with plenty of sun, but not too hot and a refreshing breeze coming off the ocean.
I am SO jealous. I miss the beach. It's seems like ages since I last saw the ocean. It will be ages before I can go again.

Whoa, that place looks awesome. A nice road to walk, bike, or even scooter across right next to the ocean.

I just went to Virginia Beach for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I loved it, my grandson hated EVERYTHING about it (he's only 18 months). He sat in his stroller and watch everyone. Glad you got to relax!
